MEDIATION
Mediation is a confidential and voluntary process focused on the interest and needs of the participants. Parties in conflict often turn to mediation because it is an informal, flexible and cost-effective dispute resolution process. My role as mediator is to guide and empower parties as they define their own workable solutions. Using a variety of tools and techniques to open and improve dialog, I support parties to define the issues clearly, understand one another’s perspective, and move closer to reaching an agreement. Mediation usually takes place in person. When this is not possible, it can occur remotely using video communication software. My mediation practice focuses on family and workplace disputes:
Divorce/post-divorce
Parentage/Post-parentage
Adult siblings navigating elder related issues
Family business succession planning
Sharing the family cottage
Workplace conflict between employees and/or departments
School based conflict
